Our Sponsors & Sources of Funding
Newcastle Community Transport receives most of it’s funding through the Home and Community Care Program (HACC).
Home and Community Care Funding is specifically targeted to:-
- Frail or at risk aged people with moderate to severe disabilities
- Younger people with disabilities
- The carers of those people
Services are provided to enable people to remain living independently in the community and to prevent premature or inappropriate admission to residential care.
We also receive some funding from Hunter New England Area Health to assist people who have a temporary health condition which prevents them accessing / utilising other transport options to access health facilities. This type of health related transport is available dependent on funding resources.
We have access to some funding from the Cancer Council of NSW under Regional Cancer Control Grant Program, and this helps to support people who are in need of treatment to access Oncology facilities in the local area.
