Volunteers

We are always grateful for the assistance provided by our dedicated volunteers who enable our organisation to provide additional services to our passengers.

We are looking for community minded people who would like to make a difference in the lives of transport disadvantaged people in the Newcastle LGA.

All volunteers are provided with free training and are an important part of our service provision.

Volunteers are offered reimbursement for all out of pocket expenses and are provided with uniforms and ID badges.

Volunteer positions available are:

Service Provision

Car driving (Project car)
Bus Assistant (on day centre trips, social trips and shopping)
Time commitment – one day per week or fortnight

Administration

We also need people with skills and enthusiasm to join our team as a member of our Management Committee.

Positions available are – Treasurer and Management Members

Time commitment – 2 hours per month

Outcome – The satisfaction of providing a worthwhile service to the Community.

Requirements for Volunteer Car Drivers

Class C licence and excellent driving record
Good mobility and fitness

Volunteer Assistants

Good mobility and fitness

All volunteers must pass a Criminal Record check.

Be able to relate well to our passengers

Have good communication skills

Be willing to learn new skills
